Exit Card
Give students different exit card option!
Use the different types of learning and the different ways students process what they learn to guide you.
Have them mirror graphic organizers. Check them and put them back into students notes. (Make them big enough to put 2 hole punches in so students won't just stick them somewhere!)

Checking Notes
Tell students that you will randomly collect someones notes at the end of class to use for classroom note set for students who are absent or miss something and want to look at later for tests.
Tell them, not doing it to "check" on them, it is more of an easy way to keep a set of class notes.
If they want to get graded they can, it will be an easy A!
(Maybe collect 3 different notes to get a better variety)
Make sure you put their names BACK into the pull pile! You don't want them NOT taking notes after you draw their name! (Would cause problem with grading though...)
